Packed it full of hops from two parts of the globe! Pacific Jade from New Zealand, Cluster and Summit from the United States. These hops are characterised by their hard hitting spicy and pink grapefruit flavour, giving a superb aroma working beautifully with the amount of malt we’ve been able to pack into this beer. Our Specialised Dark ale yeast strain also helps to lift this beer from the ordinary accentuating both the malt complexity and the hop character.
American Pale Ale 3.6kg – 5.6% ABV similar to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. It pours a light copper with a fluffy white head; initial caramel and biscuit aromas give way to a heavy floral and citrus note inviting a sip.
To support two powerhouse American hops, Columbus and Centennial giving the beer tremendous Citrus, floral and pine character both in the aroma and also the flavour, these coupled with our US West Coast ale yeast strain that’s sourced from an American Craft brewery means that your finished beer will be crisp and clean with an amazingly expressive malt and hop character exactly how it should!
American IPA Beer Kit 4kg – 6.5% ABV similar in style to Goose Island IPA and pours like a true IPA, pale gold with a fluffy white head, the aroma of this beer hits you immediately, intense pine and grapefruit character a side of tropical fruit salad.
Fast becoming my favorite new range
Each one of these kits deliver an incredible sophisticated beer for the pallet.
First things first, this kit isn't a two cans of malt and packet of yeast, this kit comes with all the ingredients you need, brewing sugar, priming sugar, a very generous packet of yeast, with additional hop pellets, oak chips if needed.
Youngs American Craft Beer kits are the most comprehensive kit I have bought,.
The results are stunning, but you have to let the beer mature when you have barrelled or bottled. These beers really are at their best when you leave them alone for at least 3 weeks or more before drinking.
The explosion of flavours these beers produce is like nothing I have ever tasted before, these are beers to go with a any meal. The Oak Rumed Ale is perfect with Steak, oh my God its great with Red meat! Drink it while having a slab of quality chocolate, the bitter flavour of the ale and the coco just merge into oral heaven.
The American IPA is so refreshing, the citrus flavour is crisp and thirst quenching, the taste of pink grapefruit is subtle and moreish. Perfect pint to sit in the garden with fantastic with grilled fish, or chicken.
It might cost a little more, but its worth it.
