All of the beer kits made by Muntons use UK malting barley sourced from within a 50 mile radius of their Stowmarket, Suffolk based maltings. Muntons named beer kits have been developed to produce the finest beers possible. Giving the homebrewer the chance to brew excellent commercially recognised beers at home.
Each beer kit is supplied with a step-by-step instruction booklet and a sachet of brewing yeast. All that is required is the addition of water and a small amount sugar for Bottling / Kegging. Brewing equipment required.
Continental Pilsner: Embodies the full character of European lager style beers, light and delicate, yet richly satisfying. This beer preserves the delicate balance of natural hop bitterness with the sweetness of malt and is best served cold at about  5°C or 41°F
Docklands Porter: Has a uniquely rich and satisfying flavour which quenched the thirst of dockers after long shifts loading and unloading vessels from around the world. You can now recapture the unique flavour of traditional Victorian porters - a light hop character and full malt flavour under lie a rich colour, possible by the subtle use of the best roasted malts.
Highland Heavy: Has a distinctive rich bitter flavour, with its dark, malty brew, balanced by a generous helping of hops. To enjoy Highland Heavy Ale at its best it should be served at cellar temperature.
Imperial Stout: Imperial Stout captures the essence of this truly classic beer, with it's full body, rich black colour and distinctive dry bitterness. Capped by a smooth, creamy head, it is a brew to be savoured and enjoyed at it's best when served chilled – approximately 5oC or 41oF.
India Pale Ale kit can be brewed to the traditional 4.5% ABV (troopers tipple) ale that we all know and love or alternatively you can brew it to a higher alcohol strength (higher ranks reserve) by adding an extra kilogram of sugar as per the enclosed instructions. Final ABV is approximately 4.5% or 6% respectively.
Old English Bitter: This fine Old English beer rekindles the full bodied, rich ales of Victorian Britain. Enjoyed best when served at cellar temperature - 13C 56F. This quality beer combines premium brewing malt and the choicest hops, to follow a centuries old tradition of fine brewing.
